For some reason when women want to shape up, they will work about doing Pilates or walking and then only add a small about of ab work because the are afraid of getting 6 pack type abs.

Why?
A 6 pack on a woman will not only accentuate your breasts but will allow you to wear tighter fitting clothing without any bulges or rolls. I asked a good friend one day who works out really hard but was also afraid of getting a 6 pack why she was afraid. She mentioned that once she started to muscle up she would be afraid that she would get big arm and leg muscles.

Getting nice looking ab muscles has nothing to do with bulking up!
It has to do with reducing the layer of fat covering your abs and toning the muscles.
You will not look like a man, you will not get huge muscles, you can not become muscle bound unless you are a professional bodybuilder that specifically works are building muscle. Low reps with a high weight will give you muscles. Standard exercise with low or no weights will never get you huge muscles.

So anyway, my friend started working her abs back in June and by the middle of July she started to wear shorter shirts to show off her abs and was so happy to finally lose the fear of bulking up.

A 4 or 6 pack is very sexy on a woman. It’s not manly–trust me. If you have not tried to really work your abs you don’t know how good you can really look in a tight pair of jeans or slinky dress. Good abs have you standing taller and straighter and if you think that you can’t get your belly back into shape after a baby–your wrong.

Watching Your Diet When Your Getting Fit

Getting fit isn’t just about fitness, just as losing weight isn’t just about dieting. Each one works hand in hand to help the other. You need to have both incorporated into your lifestyle.

Diet fitness health will lessen your possibility of high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Don’t we all want that?

First step, identify your current health level and your current level of daily exercise. By saying that, I don’t mean how many times you reach out for the TV remote from your couch. Get yourself to workout at least 30 minutes a day. But do consider a consultation with your doctor just in case there are any restrictions on your diet or fitness health program.

You must start some where and usually starting is the hard part.
Change your daily routine.
Opt for the stairs instead of the elevator to your office. You might be panting hard for breath the first few times you do that, but you will eventually get the momentum and laugh back at yourself when you recap your first time.
Park far a way from the entry door in parking lots and walk.
Take a brisk walk once in a while. These may sound like nothing, but these small changes will add up quickly and result in a matter of time.

You will not stick to an activity that doesn’t interest you. So choose activities that you will enjoy. If you enjoy basketball and badminton, spend at least 30 minutes in the game as it will play a great deal to your daily exercise. You will not just work out, but have fun at the same time. You can go for jogging or running too. If you prefer to start slowly, opt for walking instead. Get a companion as it will keep you motivated besides having great exercise together.

Men prefer weight lifting as it’s one of the best routine to keep you fit. However, it should only be done every other day. So add a cardio workout in between the routine. It’s good to have more than one exercise routine. This way, you can switch and not get bored. As much as it is fun to work out at the privacy of your own indoor place, you should also work out outside once in while when the temperature is neither too hot or too cold.

Your body needs vitamins and nutrients so you can have enough energy for exercise, so eat a balanced combination of food. You should drink plenty of water before and after an exercise routine as dehydration can easily attacks you especially when you are new. The best way is to eat a healthy snack an hour before you work out. It can be a piece of fruit or a handful of nuts. This way you can workout without having to worry of fainting due to low sugar level.

Protein is essential in your diet fitness health food selection, especially if you will be lifting weights. You can find high amount of protein in lean meats. Slow down in sugar and carbohydrates consumption while you are on a diet fitness health program.

Remember that the quicker you start, the quicker you will make it a good habit and the quicker there will be a healthier, leaner you.

A friend of mine recently signed up for Nutrisystem and over the last few weeks I have had a chance to take a good look at it (and Sally’s weight loss) and thought that today I would tell you a bit about the changes at Nutrisystem.

Nutrisystem has really changed over the last few years. Once criticized for small portions for men and food that was not up to gourmet flavor now has revamped their program and it has now become one of the hottest diets around for Hollywood celebrities who are use to eating well.

The Nutrisystem weight loss program has foods that include the low end of the glycemic index with protein and fiber. They want you to eat five times a day so that the hunger pangs won’t occur which will prevent you from overeating. The idea behind this is to keep your blood sugar level even. You combine one of their entrees plus some items from the supermarket and you are set.
